JAMES R. MOORE M.D.
Dr. Moore is a long time resident from the central Ohio
region. After growing up in the all-American city of
Springfield, Ohio he moved to Columbus and attended his
last two years of high school at Upper Arlington H. S. "J. R."
spent the next 4 years in upstate New York while earning
his B.A. degree and graduating magna cum laude from
Cornell University. When he chose the Ohio State University
College of Medicine for medical school, he returned to
Columbus in 1978. After receiving his MD degree in 1982 he
completed residency training in Internal Medicine at
Riverside Methodist Hospital and subsequently passed the
exam for Board Certification In Internal Medicine in 1985.
Dr. Moore worked 5 years in private practice (including 4
years as the Head of the Department of Medicine at Harding
Hospital) and thereafter has been with Provider Physicians
since 1990 caring for patients at our East Office.
Along the way J. R. has found time to get married (16* years
now), have
three children,
and help his wife oversee the maintainance of their new
home in New Albany. When not working J.R. uses his spare
time to watch his kids play sports, exercise (running, biking
and weights), woodwork, "surf the net". golf. play tennis,
travel (Boston is his favorite city) or just be the handyman at home.
